Hi there, just bought an asus n-series laptop (windows 8.1), and already having issues. only the front two of the four built in speakers work and the external sonicmaster subwoofer isn't even recognized by the computer.. Yes the audio plays normal with and without the sonicmaster subwoofer. i installed the latest realtek audio driver following the steps you provided but that didn't seem to work (even after restart). i've taken a look at asus'driver page and there doesn't seem to be any audio drivers yet..
